Why did Artisan Dental become a Certified B Corp?
Since our inception in 2014, our mission and vision has been to create an integrated prosperity that includes all stakeholders connected to our business. These stakeholders include our patients, our team members, the suppliers who support us and the communities and the planet we all share.
We became a Certified B Corp to spread awareness, create good and ignite worldwide change; to be a part of the global movement of people using business as a force for good, and to work together with companies all over the world that are creating exceptional positive social and environmental impact.
First of all they’re great products! Benco Dental officials began searching for a better toothbrush to offer to dentists to send home with their patients. When they didn’t find it, they made their own. The family-owned company, headquartered in Jenkins Twp., already had a line of private-brand toothbrushes and wanted to make them better. A Benco Dental team and designer created a high-end line of toothbrushes, prescription toothpaste high in fluoride, floss and other products called PRO-SYS. The process took about three years.
Second, they believe, as we do, in giving back. Imagine life without a toothbrush. The consequences—disease, pain, tooth loss—are all too real for millions of people worldwide, many of them right here at home. For every PRO-SYS® Tapered or Antimicrobial toothbrush bought, they donate one to a person in need. It’s something we can all feel good about. But simply donating toothbrushes isn’t enough, so they partner with nonprofits that ensure oral healthcare education is part of the package. That’s especially important in places where toothbrushes are uncommon.
Artisan Dental and Pro-Sys products – working together to promote good oral healthcare and helping those in need. We think it’s a great fit!
We appreciate that we are an interwoven part of a larger local and global community. We are heartened by the opportunity to support organizations with owner and staff volunteer hours, free dental services, and/or ongoing financial contributions. http://artisandentalmadison.com/communitygiving/
In this spirit, we are happy to announce the Artisan Dental Annual Food Drive for 2017.
Artisan Dental patients and employees together with Festival Food employees are invited to make a non-perishable food donation during business hours, M-F 7:00am – 5:00pm for the month of November. Food donated will be matched by Artisan Dental. We will have donation barrels located at Artisan Dental and Festival Foods.
All non-perishable food types are accepted. Community Action Coalition suggests the following food types: canned tuna, canned chicken, peanut butter, canned fruit, vegetable oil and canned whole kernel corn.
Thank you for your generosity!
