Community Giving

We appreciate that we are an interwoven part of a larger local and global community. We are heartened by the opportunity to support these organizations with owner and staff volunteer hours, free dental services, and/or ongoing financial contributions.

Local Nonprofit Organizations

Aldo Leopold Nature Center (http://aldoleopoldnaturecenter.org/)  The Aldo Leopold Nature Center (ALNC) was established in 1994 as an independent, non-profit organization with the mission to provide hands-on programs which “…teach the student to see the land, to understand what he sees, and enjoy what he understands” in the spirit of famed ecologist Aldo Leopold.

Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Dane County (http://www.bbbs.org/ ) – Mission is Pairing a child with a role model to start a relationship built on trust and friendship that can blossom into a future of unlimited potential.  Help influence kids to resist the use of illegal drugs and alcohol. Also help kids stay in school and not skip.

Boys and Girls Club of Dane County (http://www.bgcdc.org) – Mission is to provide youth development programs by developing partnerships to produce positive outcomes for young people, families, and communities.

Community Shares of Wisconsin (http://www.communityshares.com) – Mission is to address social, economic, and environmental problems though grassroots activities, advocacy, research, and public education.

Dane Buy Local (http://www.danebuylocal.com/) Mission to create a sustainable, vital local economy through education, collaboration, and promotion as a nonprofit member organization.

Give Kids a Smile (http://www.givekidsasmile.org) – Mission is to bring caring volunteers and organizations together for the purpose of delivering quality dental services to children. Their commitment is to the underserved and to strive to mentor organizations and future volunteers to help kids with their smile.

Make a Wish Foundation (http://wish.org/) – Mission is to serve a unique, and vital, role in helping strengthen and empower children battling life-threatening medical conditions.

Mentoring Positives (http://mentoringpositives.org/) – is committed to providing positive mentoring relationships, helping youth and young adults discover their talents, learn new skills and experience successes through social, psychological and emotional development, preparing them for adulthood.

Second Harvest Food Bank of Southern WI (http://www.secondharvestmadison.org) – Mission is to end hunger in Southwestern Wisconsin through community partnerships and working together to serve everyone to the best of their ability every day.

Sustain Dane (http://sustaindane.org) – Mission is working towards a greater Madison Region as a national model of sustainability and sustainability innovation.

United Way of Dane County (https://www.unitedwaydanecounty.org) – Mission is to change lives and strengthen the community. Help students succeed academically and graduate from high school. Decrease family homelessness and reduce violence. Also help seniors and people with disabilities be able to stay in their homes.

Ashoka (https://www.ashoka.org) – Mission is to support social entrepreneurs who are leading and collaborating with change-makers who address the fluidity of a rapidly evolving society.

Care (http://www.care.org) – Mission is to serve individuals and families in the poorest communities in the world. CARE works in 87 countries around the world to support over 900 poverty fighting development and humanitarian aid projects.

Conservation Fund – (http://www.conservationfund.org) – we make conservation work for  America.  By creating solutions that make environmental and economic sense, we are redefining conservation to demonstrate its essential role in our future prosperity.

Direct Relief International (http://www.directrelief.org/usa) – Provides support to more than 1,100 nonprofit community clinics and health centers in all 50 states. This network is the nation’s healthcare “safety net” that supports more than 10,000 clinical sites that provide comprehensive, culturally sensitive health services to more than 20 million people, regardless of their ability to pay.

Doctors Without Borders (https://www.doctorswithoutborders.org/) – Our mission is to provide lifesaving medical care to those most in need.

Environmental Defense Fund (https://www.edf.org) – mission is to preserve the natural systems on which all life depends.

Human Rights Watch (https://www.hrw.org/) – We scrupulously investigate abuses, expose the facts widely, and pressure those with power to respect rights and secure justice. Human Rights Watch is an independent, international organization that works as part of a vibrant movement to uphold human dignity and advance the cause of human rights for all.

National Resource Defense Council (https://www.nrdc.org/) – works to safeguard the earth –its people, its plants and animals, and the natural systems on which all life depends.

Room to Read (http://www.roomtoread.org) – Mission is to have a world in which all children can pursue a quality education, reach their full potential and contribute to their community and the world. Mainly focusing on literacy and the gender equality in education

SOS Children’s Villages (http://www.sos-usa.org) – actively supports children’s rights and commits to give children who have lost or are at the risk of losing parental care of their primary needs: family and a loving home.

Women For Women International (http://www.womenforwomen.org) – We serve women in 8 countries offering support, tools, and access to life-changing skills to move from crisis and poverty to stability and economic self-sufficiency. Ourmission is to continue moving that work forward. We bring women together in a safe space to learn life, business, and vocational skills.
