(Nasdaq: HSIC) joined the American Association of Dental Office Management (AADOM) to announce that Rochelle Guastella, Director of Business Development at Artisan Dental in Madison, Wisconsin has been selected as the recipient of AADOM’s ninth annual Green Leader award. Ms. Guastella was presented the award by Lorie Streeter, Vice President, AADOM and Frank Semo, Senior Manager, Practice Services, Henry Schein Dental at the recent 2021 AADOM Conference in Orlando, Florida. Made possible by a grant from the Henry Schein Cares Foundation, AADOM created the award as part of its Green Leader Initiative, which aims to empower practice managers to reduce their practices’ environmental footprint and lead their teams in becoming part of dentistry’s green future. “The practical things such as recycling throughout the office and reducing energy that this year’s green leader and her practice have implemented that are making a big impact, said Lorie Streeter, Vice President, AADOM. “We were thoroughly impressed by these huge green steps to protect the environment: – Through Ms. Guastella’s leadership Artisan Dental began offering dental services powered by 100% renewable electricity in 2015. – Team members are offered a $1.00 per day subsidy/incentive to use low carbon forms of alternative transportation to travel to and from work. This incentive applies to car-pooling, biking, walking, public transport, electric vehicles, skateboarding, etc. – Our 2021 Green Leader introduced the Artisan Dental Sustainable Supplier survey and Supplier Code of Conduct to gather a better sense of how supply chains are managing and creating impact in their spheres of influence.
