We are delighted to welcome Dr. Danielle Meirick as a new assocaite dentist to Artisan Dental. Dr. Meirick enjoys all aspects of dentistry and looks forward to taking care of your needs and wishes.
During Dr. Meirick’s time at the University of Iowa’s College of Dentistry, Dr. Meirick was active in the Iowa Chapter of the American Student Dental Association and the American Association of Women in Dentistry. Additionally, she provided volunteer dental care through the Iowa Mission of Mercy. Dr. Meirick was recognized as a Student Leader by the College’s Dean in 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016.
Dr. Meirick also received several research grants during her education. She investigated the dental professional’s role in measuring overall patient wellness. This included aspects such as tobacco counseling, blood pressure screening, oral cancer screenings, and patient education.
Dr Meirick commented, “I enjoy educating patients about systemic factors that can affect their dental care, as well as life style choices that can improve both their systemic and oral health. I am looking forward to participating in our Artisan Wellness Series as it aligns so well with the philosophy behind my previous research.”
